City Waterworks, Norristown, Pa.

Danny's Diner, located on the bridge between Bridgeport and Norristown, on what was once U.S. Route 202 (now DeKalb Street). This postcard reads, "A modern air conditioned diner, featuring the finest in good eating pleasure, good service, and with ample parking space. Spotless kitchen open at all times for inspection." The building burned down in the late 80's, but you can still see the foundation. Its located in the parking lot of Wallcovering, Ltd. I remember them having a wonderful little garden on the water, with a beautiful fountain with goldfish.

This scene of West Main Street in Norristown has actually changed very little. Add a few more cars and some traffic lights, but that's about all.

The Spring Mill School (from a post card dated 1920) once stood near the Spring Mill Station in Conshohocken.
